Trine 2 game Mac version and PC version in same disk
The recent rumors say that the "Focus Home Interactive" will deal out Trine 2 within Europe like a retail box. Two versions: standard as well as collector's through a CD including the music of Trine 2.I don't comprehend if the Mac edition will be in those identical DVD's of the PC version. Or else there will be 4 versions...’

What is certain is that the PC version is first released on Steam and at least make the online co-op use of protection mechanisms and technical capabilities of the download shop is. Since Frozenbyte but also planning an implementation for Linux and will offer the game on Mac OSX-Store, the steam requirement could be lifted a few weeks after the show. Reason: Linux is not officially supported by Steam - and the AppStore by Apple wants nothing to do with Steam. So there are two possibilities: The online multiplayer mode for non-Steam version or deleted entirely adapted so that it works without Steam. In the latter case, could the Steam version will come later via patch on the status of the other implementations.

Okay, this info is not particularly new; the Frozenbyte has today sent out at least a part of it, namely that Trine 2 due for release this year. However, the recent press release relates purely to the PC & Mac version of the game, at Focus Interactive, both in digital, appear also in a boxed edition will and then as a standard and collector's version - the latter will contain an exclusive soundtrack CD Ari Pulkkinen. Console friends probably should ever precaution to prepare a longer waiting time...

Focus Home Interactive today announced the distribution agreement with Frozenbyte Trine 2 for PC and Mac versions retail and digital. Trine 2 is the sequel to the platform / puzzle game Trine, scrolling adventure that committed the player with ingenious puzzles environmental physics-based objects.

Like the game itself, the edition was a collaboration between three parties. In North America, publisher Frozenbyte with Atlus to release on PC, Mac, XBLA and PS Store. In Europe, they rely on Focus Home Interactive for PC and Mac release, while Atlus releases the console world does. It may be that the release date is not far from each other are there for the Americas and our own.

The game will be available in standard and collector's edition with the original soundtrack included among the bonus of this latest version. Details on the exact release date, the contents of the collector's edition and its price will be made shortly after Frozenbyte . The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions are for their part in the hands of Atlus and should land in download by the end of the year.
